Whispering Pine Farms is a family-owned ranch based out of Hot Springs, Montana, and founded in 2008. Our operation consists of 4000 acres in the rugged, hilly Montana country. Those acres are used to run 120 registered Hereford, 50 registered Red Angus, 380 commercial cattle as well as offer custom hay. 

 

Our ranch is a family-run operation, run by the McDonald family, Jason and Marcy along with our children Gina, Vanessa, Drew, Blake, Cameron, Braden, Kyler, Sophia, Deon, Keegan, and Corbin. 

 

Gina, our oldest daughter along with Wendy, Jason’s mother, manage the cattle. Blake, our second oldest son, and Jason’s father Jamie manage all the field work. Taking care of the fencing, pastures, and feed for the cattle. As well as taking care of all our custom hay, producing 4000 tons of hay each year for our customers. 

 

Cameron, Braden & Kyler manage the irrigation, including maintenance for all the pivots, wheel lines, hand lines, and flood irrigation.

 

Marcy and the youngest children Sophia, Deon, Keegan and Corbin help out where they can around the yard or with the cattle.
